Touring at last! And it was pretty much the easiest day of bike touring ever. It was flat, with a tailwind, and pleasant temperatures. I was in by 2:30 PM, an hour earlier than I expected.
I crossed into Wisconsin after 30 miles.
Kate recommended a great sounding Italian Deli in Kenosha, but I was through there too early for lunch. So instead I took a picture of this beautiful lakefront sewage treatment plant.
And less than two hours later, Milwaukee comes into view.
And I am in my cheap and somewhat sketchy AirBnB room in a shared house just after 2. There is no lock on the door to my room!
I took a shower and a nap, and then later went to Steny's Tavern a couple blocks over for dinner. This place is great.
Wings were decent, but not great. They are unclear on the concept. Where is my celery????
But the Mac'n'Cheese was to die for. I am only eating Wisconsin things from now on.
All in all, this was a pretty great day. It's supposed to be hot hot hot tomorrow, so I want to get going super early.
